DeleteMy book is called The Watsons Go to Birmingham. It is about a family who lives in freezing cold flint Michigan, and they decide to take a road trip to Birmingham Alabama. Some words that would be good for a theme would be family, because through thick in thin this family has each others back.

DeleteBecause they have all the parents money and won't give it to the girls.
DeleteThe theme for The Watsons is family. I am not finished but through the book they are always showing what a strong wacky family they are.
ReplyDeleteA good topic for my book is peer pressure, because Craig has a lot of pressure from the Pre-Professional High School, and that is what started his depression. At first he was studying all the time and he thought that he could handle the four hours of homework every night, but then he was just sitting on his bed every night not doing his homework and just stressing about it and feeling terrible about himself.
ReplyDeleteHey, that's my book that I commented on!

ReplyDeleteWhoah there Mr. Byrd, what does Gary do?
Deletegets attacked by moose's and flys planes and was in the war! thats what Gary dose
DeleteIn my book, With Their Eyes, the topic is coming back from tragedy, and the sense of community that comes with the recovery. I chose this because all the monologues in the play show the community and recovery. People helping at the Red Cross, helping each other, and grieving for everyone's loss. These are all examples of people helping each other to recover.
ReplyDeleterecovery, community, pulling together to help everyone around ground zero.

ReplyDeleteThe Watsons

Deletewhy do they have differences?
DeleteIn the 60s there were all the racial movements and even though people call them "The weird Watsons" they stand up for each other and stick together
DeleteSounds inspiring
Deletewhy are they wierd????
DeleteThey were standing around the car when it was below zero out crying
DeleteOooh, fancy.
DeleteFor With their Eyes, the students at Stuyvesant High School were witnesses to the 9/ll attacks right next to the World Trade Center. The students and faculty cope with fear, loss, destruction, discovery, and hope. After the attacks, I feel like it brings them more close together as a school

ReplyDeleteA good topic for With There Eyes is recovery.I say this because it is about what some kids in the high school say on that day. What they remember and what they did on September 11, 2001
ReplyDeleteThat book is really really inspiring!
DeleteI'm reading The Coalwood Way and I think the theme topic could be achieving dreams because that's what the BCMA was about.
ReplyDeleteA theme for Maus is survival because he's battling it out with the masters of evil, the nazis.
ReplyDeleteare the nazis the masters of evil?

ReplyDeleteA topic for Three little words is probably Stay strong. It would be this because Ashley has to stay strong and not beome bad, even though she is put through many abusive foster homes
ReplyDeletewhy is she put through abusive foster homes? why not nice ones?
DeleteA theme for Maus 2 is determenation because he keeps pushing his wife and himself to survive the Holocaust. He works extra hours for the Germans makes friendships and gives food to his wife
ReplyDeletewhy does he work extra hours Mr. Lambert?
Deletetitle: Marley and Me
ReplyDeletei think that the theme of this book is definitely family. Marley has so far effected John's and Jenny's life by just as the amount of food he has eaten is one day.
How did Marley effect their lives.
DeleteMarley and Me
ReplyDeleteOne Word Themes: Determination Family Love...
why is there love so strong?
DeleteHow much did marley change their lives?
DeleteKatie: Because John and Jenny love each other unconditionally!! and they love their family a lot!
